See In StorePart II - Heart & Will looks at what happens after we take in our world, begin, you could say, to make it our own. In effect, this is our inner world. Looking at emotional disorders, sleep disorders, and anxiety disorders, in the context of our relationship to our conscious selves, our emotional lives and the way these aspects affect our bodies. This section of the course explores the mechanism of ying qi, the relationship between the blood and the spirit as it manifests in our daily lives, as well as in how we sleep, in how we relate to others and how we discover who we are in our world. Ying qi is intimately connected to how comfortable we feel in our bodies and whether we can adequately respond with post-natal resources to the stresses in our lives. This section features many precious oils such as Frankincense, Neroli, Rose and Sandalwood as well as detailing the specifics for safe and effective use of all essential oils. You'll learn to use these essential oils to calm the spirit, ease the stresses of life and build capacity for healthy interaction, opening the heart and focusing the will in service of peace, contentment and spiritual alignment.

Humans have a very important role in the unity of man and nature. We in fact are an organized whole and encompass both being a part of nature and managing nature. The ancient Chinese metaphysics concept of the Three Essences (Sān Cái 三才) - Heaven, Earth and Humankind, can be applied and seen in various aspects of our life, and in concepts such as harmony of body, mind and spirit. In this short introductory webinar, see how the integration of these Three Essences apply within Acupuncture itself, as well as in our life as a whole. This course provides a brief introduction to the basic foundations of the metaphysical origins and framework of Sān Cái 三才 → The Three Essences of life in Chinese Metaphysics. The Three Essences are the ancient Chinese metaphysics concept of the unity and harmony of man and natural law - Heaven - Tiān 天, Earth - Rén 人 and Humankind - Dì 地. This concept can be applied and seen in various aspects of our life, and in aspects such as the harmony of body, mind and spirit. Students will learn some history of Feng Shui, Astrology and the Five Elements/Phases, and have a peek into how it is integrated with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Traditional Chinese Medicine encompasses numerous centuries of empirical and clinical herbal formulae and formulations, both within the context of TCM as a professional medicine as well as a folk medicine. In this short recording, we will explore the uses of placenta; the processing, preparation and administration of placenta and its uses and contraindications clinically. We will explore cross-cultural attitudes and lore of the placenta as well as current scientific research of the potential benefits of placentophagy (consumption of placenta), which on many levels is very much in its initial stages of research.

Why would a practitioner benefit from learning the Heart Lock Theory? Our experiences are stored in our memories and reflexively in our bodies. Since the heart is the fulcrum of the energy flow through the body, it is easy to understand that experiences and events have a subtle effect on the way our hearts beat. The Heart Lock Theory can pinpoint the times in our life when we have suffered lasting damage, and provide clues to how these events are affecting our lives today. The Phytobiophysics Heart Lock Theory is a form of heart reflexology and is quite simply one of the most efficient methods of diagnosis. The theory is simple, and yet extremely profound. It quickly and clearly enables the practitioner to understand the complex chain of events in a patient’s life, which conspire to make them ill. The theory offers the ability to create a map, presenting a time frame of who, how, what, and when the patient has been damaged and an ability to track back to discover the origin of their disease. This knowledge enables you to help your patient recover from even some of the most serious conditions.

While the function of the endocrine system is documented in detail in anatomy and physiology texts, little is understood about how emotions affect the hormonal disorders and functional imbalances that occur within it. The purpose of this course is to explain how emotions may impact this critical system which influences almost every function of our bodies. This is an advanced course that is meant for students who have previous experience with Phytobiophysics. We recommend you take the course "The Heart Lock Theory" before this one.

See In StoreWeight problems are predominantly spiritual and emotional in origin. The purpose of this course is to explain how personality, constitution and trauma play complicated and intertwined roles in creating weight gain or loss. Everyone knows that if you overeat, you will gain weight, and if you under eat, you will lose weight; however, the story is really more complex. For this reason, the Phytobiophysics Mossop Philosophy has an important role to play in assisting patients with weight problems. Phytobiophysics is a modality that uses flower and tree essences to facilitate healing. The Mossop Philosophy is a means of assessing the causal factors of disease and then utilizing the essences of living flowers and plants to regulate specific cellular systems to stimulate recovery. This is an advanced course that is meant for students who have previous experience with Phytobiophysics. We recommend you take the course "The Heart Lock Theory" before this one.

Intimacy and relationship issues can be awkward to discuss with patients unless you are sufficiently trained to do so. Dr. Dunas has created educational tools for your patients so they can learn about these topics on their own. You benefit by prescribing an educational opportunity without having to teach the subject yourself. Patients learn without having to engage in a direct conversation with you. Once they have been exposed to Dr. Dunas’ work, a conversation between you can be more comfortably approached from either side, should there be a need. TCM can, truly, help heal a patient’s love life and their body. A key component in the implementation of this modality is the principle of “healing through pleasure”, a perspective easily overlooked by our Western views of life and medicine, but pivotal to TCM as practiced in the past. In this one-hour recorded presentation, Dr. Felice Dunas introduces a subject for which she received the Acupuncturist of the Year Award by the AAAOM: single-handedly bringing the “Sexual Healing Practices” of Chinese medicine to the North American acupuncture profession. Older than acupuncture and consistently used to the present day, our professional ancestors reserved sexual teachings only for those patients whose lives would require optimal intelligence, power, vitality and longevity - in essence, the rulers of feudal China. That is how important, but secretive, these practices have always been. Why are these teachings important for acupuncturists today to understand? Because the quality of a patient’s sexual life and their ability to cultivate intimacy closeness directly affects and is affected by health. In essence, the effectiveness of your work can be helped or hindered by how a patient “loves”. Once practitioners have viewed this initial webinar, they may be interested in directing their patients to view two recorded webinars geared specifically for patients.
