full name (provided to us by the Partner you made the purchase through or by you if you signed up directly or update your account);
email address (provided to us by the Partner you made the purchase through or by you if you signed up directly);
country (provided to us by the Partner you made the purchase through or by you if you signed up directly);
phone number (only if provided by you, to contact you about support issues);
acupuncture/professional license number and governing body thereof (provided by you and necessary for certificates of completion);
IP address (automatically collected so we can refer you to the correct Partner in your region from which to purchase courses and related products); and
generic device details such as time zone, screen size, operating system and browser used (automatically collected to give us an overall understanding of how are site is being used and to give you the best possible user experience).

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
providing and managing your Account;
providing and managing your access to Our Site;
notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;
personalizing and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
supplying Our online courses and services to you;
personalizing and tailoring specific content for you, such as generating CEU/PDA certificates;
responding to communications from you;
contacting you about support issues;
using generic device details for internal security purposes;
using general device details to assess how our website is being used in order to continue to improve our services (these details are not used to identify specific individuals); and

How and Where is Your Information Stored and When Is It Destroyed?

We only keep your personal information for as long as we need to in order to use it and as long as allowable under applicable law. When you register your Account with us, we will retain your personal information for as long as your Account is active or as long as necessary in order to provide our services to you and to comply with our legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations. When you sign up for communication from us, we will retain your personal information for as long as you remain subscribed.

Some or all of your personal information may be stored on our main server in Beauharnois, Canada, our developmental computers in Vancouver, Canada, and on back-up storage that are saved in Amazon’s cloud web services. Some of our service providers are located outside of Canada, including in the United States. Accordingly, your personal information may be transferred outside of Canada and if so, will be subject to the legal requirements of the applicable foreign jurisdictions, including local requirements to disclose information to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities. You are deemed to accept and agree to this by using Our Site and submitting personal information to us.

Data security is of great importance to us, and to protect your personal information, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure personal information collected through Our Site.

the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

In the event that we transfer any of your personal information to a new owner or new controlling party, we will contact you in advance and inform you of the changes.

Live Courses

The Site provides content, some of which is in the form of courses that are streamed live over the Site or through external applications. You hereby acknowledge your understanding that these live online events may be recorded and that you may be recorded as a result. You hereby consent to such recordings and give Net of Knowledge and its affiliates permission to use any images of, and comments made by, you (hereinafter “Personal Content”) captured during these recordings including, but not limited to, reproductions in all the possible permutations in electronic and printed media. You hereby waive your right to review or pre-approve any of the possible formats that the Personal Content may be reproduced.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

Please review the privacy policy, linked to at the bottom of each page, to understand the information we collect and how we manage and store it to protect your privacy. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. By continuing to review these Terms and Conditions, you agree that you have read the privacy policy in its current form, and that you will review the privacy policy for updates thereto.

Proprietary Rights

Vis-à-vis you and Net of Knowledge, you understand that all right, title, and interest in and to the Site and all the materials and content thereon is either the property of, or used with permission of their respective owners by, Net of Knowledge, and are protected by applicable copyrights, trade-mark rights, patent rights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights and laws.

Technical

You agree to ensure you have the most recent version of a browser installed and that your computer and/or mobile settings are up-to-date for the optimal viewing experience. You will also ensure you have proper audio with speakers and a computer or device that is able to play high speed video.

Net of Knowledge will not be held liable for technical issues or inability to watch online courses due browser, mobile, or computer streaming issues, or use of out-of-date hardware or browsers.

You agree that any video or audio viewing issues derived from watching a webinar or course that do not originate specifically on the Net of Knowledge platform are not the responsibility of Net of Knowledge. While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket. Net of Knowledge will not be deemed liable for any unreported technical issues, if a solution cannot be found, or if it cannot be found in a set timeframe. Termination

Recorded courses are immediately accessible after purchase. Therefore, there are no refunds provided for course cancellations.

Governing Law and Forum
