Jenny Allison

Biography

Jenny Allison is an acupuncturist and a graduate of Acupuncture Colleges Australia and the Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. She has a BA in languages and a diploma of secondary teaching.
Jenny is an acupuncturist whose passion for the last 25 years has been women’s health, studying, teaching, and working with women and mothers using acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She has trained in this area with traditional practitioners in London, Sydney, Nanjing and Hangzhou. Her interest in the care of mothers after childbirth began after she graduated, gave birth to her first child and discovered the postnatal traditions of her own multicultural family. She began talking with mothers and grandmothers from other parts of the world, and realised not only the importance of good care for the mothers and babies in these societies, but that her training in Chinese medical theory was indispensable in interpreting their practices. She decided to record her experiences so that women from all over the world could share their knowledge and learn from each other, and in 2016, she published the book ‘Golden Month, Caring for the World’s Mothers after Childbirth.’ Jenny continues to interview mothers and midwives from different cultures around the world as part of her commitment to preserving this heritage of women’s wisdom and improve the care of all mothers in the post partum.
Jenny has two grown-up children, is a grandmother of new twin girls and practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Auckland, New Zealand.

  • generic device details such as time zone, screen size, operating system and browser used (automatically collected to give us an overall understanding of how are site is being used and to give you the best possible user experience).

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

  • determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
  • providing and managing your Account;
  • providing and managing your access to Our Site;
  • notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;
  • personalizing and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
  • supplying Our online courses and services to you;

  • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

Please review the privacy policy, linked to at the bottom of each page, to understand the information we collect and how we manage and store it to protect your privacy. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. You agree that any video or audio viewing issues derived from watching a webinar or course that do not originate specifically on the Net of Knowledge platform are not the responsibility of Net of Knowledge. While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket.
