Thomas Richardson

Biography

Thomas Richardson is a practitioner, scholar, and teacher of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. His first book, Extraordinary Chinese Medicine: The Extraordinary Vessels, Extraordinary Organs, and the Art of Being Human, examines the relationship of the Extraordinary Vessels and Organs to Daoist cosmology and the evolution of consciousness. He mentored closely under William Morris, PhD, DOM, LAc, and is coauthor on Dr. Morris’s recently released book, Neoclassical Pulse Diagnosis. Thomas is currently writing a book on the importance of self-compassion to cultivate the inner freedom and happiness that we deeply desire, and is coauthoring another book, tentatively titled The Essence of Meditation and Healing.

Thomas completed a Master of Theological Studies at Harvard Divinity School, where his research focused on connections between Buddhism, Daoism, and Chinese medicine, as well as trauma, storytelling, and healing. He has studied and practiced yoga, qigong, and meditative techniques of various traditions for 20 years. In his teachings, he draws on wisdom from many different traditions to illuminate the beauty, compassion, wisdom, and wholeness that we all carry within.
