Judy Worsley

Biography

Judy Becker Worsley was a devoted student of Professor J.R. Worsley from 1973 until his death in 2003. She succeeds him as the leader of this tradition. In 1972, having attended law school in the United States and realizing law would not be her career path, in her search to find something meaningful she happened to read a book on acupuncture. Feeling inspired she traveled the United States in search of the best possible teacher. In the spring of 1973 she found the inspirational teacher she had been searching for in England: J.R. Worsley, and began her training. Between 1973 and 1983 she received her Licentiate, Bachelor, Master and Doctorate Certifications. Under Worsley’s direction, she practiced, taught and supervised at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA) until 1995. During this time Judy and J.R. opened the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture (WICA), an undergraduate program in the USA and in 1991 they were married. In 1996 J.R. & Judy created the Master Apprentice Program (MAP™) for ongoing postgraduate work. In 1998 J.R. publicly announced that Judy succeed him as leader of this tradition, should he pre-decease her. In his final years he intensified his work with her, preparing her for the responsibility that would follow.

One of Judy’s designated responsibilities is to be affiliated with teaching organizations that are in a current professional relationship with her, and who demonstrate that they practice and/or teach Worsley Five-Element Acupuncture both in content and spirit as taught by Professor J.R. Worsley.

  • generic device details such as time zone, screen size, operating system and browser used (automatically collected to give us an overall understanding of how are site is being used and to give you the best possible user experience).

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

  • determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
  • providing and managing your Account;
  • providing and managing your access to Our Site;
  • notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;
  • personalizing and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
  • supplying Our online courses and services to you;
  • personalizing and tailoring specific content for you, such as generating CEU/PDA certificates;

Some or all of your personal information may be stored on our main server in Beauharnois, Canada, our developmental computers in Vancouver, Canada, and on back-up storage that are saved in Amazon’s cloud web services. Some of our service providers are located outside of Canada, including in the United States.   • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Live Courses

The Site provides content, some of which is in the form of courses that are streamed live over the Site or through external applications. You hereby consent to such recordings and give Net of Knowledge and its affiliates permission to use any images of, and comments made by, you (hereinafter “Personal Content”) captured during these recordings including, but not limited to, reproductions in all the possible permutations in electronic and printed media. You hereby waive your right to review or pre-approve any of the possible formats that the Personal Content may be reproduced.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

Please review the privacy policy, linked to at the bottom of each page, to understand the information we collect and how we manage and store it to protect your privacy. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Net of Knowledge will not be held liable for technical issues or inability to watch online courses due browser, mobile, or computer streaming issues, or use of out-of-date hardware or browsers.

You agree that any video or audio viewing issues derived from watching a webinar or course that do not originate specifically on the Net of Knowledge platform are not the responsibility of Net of Knowledge. While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket. Net of Knowledge will not be deemed liable for any unreported technical issues, if a solution cannot be found, or if it cannot be found in a set timeframe.
