Biography

Heiner Fruehauf is the Founding Professor of the College of Classical Chinese Medicine at National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon, where he has been teaching since 1992. As a practitioner, Dr. Fruehauf focuses on the complementary treatment of difficult and recalcitrant diseases, including cancer, chronic respiratory and digestive disorders, and inflammation of the nervous system.

His scholarly endeavors include an ongoing research project on the holistic cosmology of Chinese medicine, in essence a decoding of the ancient symbolism that once correlated the macrocosm of the natural world with the microcosm of the human body. In addition, Dr. Fruehauf founded Classical Pearls Herbal Formulas over a decade ago in order to bring the formulas used in his clinical practice to a more accessible form for clinicians. The endeavor has also allowed him to maintain control over ingredient sourcing, procurement, and processing in mainland China, including supporting small family farms who grow, harvest, and process many of the raw ingredients. Dr. Fruehauf is also the director of the Heron Institute, a nonprofit institution for the research and preservation of traditional life science. In this capacity, he has been leading the Sacred Mountain Retreat for three decades, a semiannual study tour to the mountains of southwest China that focuses on qigong and other aspects of classical Chinese medicine. He lives in the beautiful Columbia Gorge in Oregon with his wife, Sheron, their kids, 5 goats, 2 cats, and 11 chickens.

  • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Continuing Education Credits

Cancellation Policy

Recorded courses are immediately accessible after purchase. Therefore, there are no refunds provided for course cancellations.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is deemed unlawful, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision is severable from these Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Governing Law and Forum

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding its conflict of law rules. You expressly consent and agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the provincial and federal courts located in British Columbia.
