Dave Shipsey

Biography

Dave Shipsey is a Registered Acupuncturist, author and teacher. He has been practising acupuncture in Dublin since 2001 and has been specialising in Abdominal Acupuncture since 2002. Dave completed a “Train the Trainer” program in 2011 to learn the best and most up-to-date methods of communicating knowledge.

Dave Shipsey has designed his own Abdominal Acupuncture (AA) training program (CPD accredited) for qualified and final-year student acupuncturists. He has run the program in Ireland, the UK and France; each course has received great reviews and testimonials from participants. The courses have evolved organically over the years and Dave feels that he has now found the perfect balance of theory and practice.

In October 2015, Dave Shipsey published his book “Mastering the Art of Abdominal Acupuncture, A Concise Guide to Treating Numerous Painful Conditions." This peer-reviewed book is the first of its kind to be published in English on Abdominal Acupuncture. It is intended as a teaching manual for qualified acupuncturists and students of acupuncture.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

  • determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
  • providing and managing your Account;
  • providing and managing your access to Our Site;
  • notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;
  • personalizing and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
  • supplying Our online courses and services to you;
  • personalizing and tailoring specific content for you, such as generating CEU/PDA certificates;

Some or all of your personal information may be stored on our main server in Beauharnois, Canada, our developmental computers in Vancouver, Canada, and on back-up storage that are saved in Amazon’s cloud web services.   • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

In the event that we transfer any of your personal information to a new owner or new controlling party, we will contact you in advance and inform you of the changes.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.
