CSOMA is a professional California association of licensed acupuncturists and supporters of acupuncture, dedicated to the preservation, advancement and integration of the art, science, and practice of all branches of acupuncture medicine into the modern healthcare model, in a caring and ethical manner, thereby enhancing the health and well-being of the general public.

The CSOMA oversees legislative and regulatory matters at both state and federal levels.

We keep abreast of actions of the California Acupuncture Board (CAB) and represent CSOMA membership and the wider AOM profession at CAB quarterly meetings.

CSOMA drafts legislative and regulatory agendas to protect and enhance the AOM profession, and stays alert to other government affairs, healthcare issues, educational standards and broad-based public policies that affect California acupuncturists.

We stay on top of current and future trends in AOM with a deep understanding of the unique challenges of California-licensed acupuncturists.

CSOMA's duty is to work as a strategic partner with the AOM profession to become even more relevant, vibrant and strong. We work with alliance organizations and regularly identify and engage industry leaders to assist us in these efforts.

  • acupuncture/professional license number and governing body thereof (provided by you and necessary for certificates of completion);
  • IP address (automatically collected so we can refer you to the correct Partner in your region from which to purchase courses and related products); and
  • generic device details such as time zone, screen size, operating system and browser used (automatically collected to give us an overall understanding of how are site is being used and to give you the best possible user experience).

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

  • determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
  • providing and managing your Account;
  • providing and managing your access to Our Site;
  • notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;
  • personalizing and tailoring your experience on Our Site;
  • supplying Our online courses and services to you;
  • personalizing and tailoring specific content for you, such as generating CEU/PDA certificates;
  • responding to communications from you;
  • contacting you about support issues;

How and Where is Your Information Stored and When Is It Destroyed?

Some or all of your personal information may be stored on our main server in Beauharnois, Canada, our developmental computers in Vancouver, Canada, and on back-up storage that are saved in Amazon’s cloud web services. Some of our service providers are located outside of Canada, including in the United States. Accordingly, your personal information may be transferred outside of Canada and if so, will be subject to the legal requirements of the applicable foreign jurisdictions, including local requirements to disclose information to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.   • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

In the event that we transfer any of your personal information to a new owner or new controlling party, we will contact you in advance and inform you of the changes.

The Site provides content, some of which is in the form of courses that are streamed live over the Site or through external applications. You hereby consent to such recordings and give Net of Knowledge and its affiliates permission to use any images of, and comments made by, you (hereinafter “Personal Content”) captured during these recordings including, but not limited to, reproductions in all the possible permutations in electronic and printed media. You hereby waive your right to review or pre-approve any of the possible formats that the Personal Content may be reproduced.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

Please review the privacy policy, linked to at the bottom of each page, to understand the information we collect and how we manage and store it to protect your privacy. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. By continuing to review these Terms and Conditions, you agree that you have read the privacy policy in its current form, and that you will review the privacy policy for updates thereto.

You agree that any video or audio viewing issues derived from watching a webinar or course that do not originate specifically on the Net of Knowledge platform are not the responsibility of Net of Knowledge. While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket.
