For over 40 years, Blue Poppy has been committed to strengthening the practice of Chinese medicine by providing clinically relevant information and products which practitioners can use to more effectively treat their patients and run their practice.

In the United States we are perhaps now into the third or fourth generation of TCM practitioners. Blue Poppy was founded by Bob Flaws and Honora Wolfe—both first generation TCM pioneers, both firmly committed and tireless in their efforts to establish and support our fledgling profession. Bob and Honora are now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, but Blue Poppy continues to thrive.

Blue Poppy Enterprises was born from the vision to address an important need in the early years of our AOM profession: Books about TCM in English. In those days there were almost no written materials for students, and so Blue Poppy started a publishing house and built an impressive catalogue of books. Bob and Honora also began offering educational seminars to augment the meager education available at the few schools that existed.

When the lack in educational materials was no longer a burning issue, Blue Poppy moved on to address another problem: Quality herb materials and formulas that addressed the unique complaints of American patients. And so Blue Poppy herbal products were conceived and born.

Five years ago Blue Poppy embarked on another mission: To manufacture needles that offered the best quality available at an affordable price. We are happy to say that we succeeded beyond our wildest dreams with our Balance and Tempo needle lines.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We only use your personal information to provide the best possible products and services to you. This includes:

  • determining the country you are in so that we can refer you to the right Partner in your region to buy courses and related products;
  • providing and managing your Account;
  • providing and managing your access to Our Site;
  • notifying you of important information related to your purchases your Account;

Some or all of your personal information may be stored on our main server in Beauharnois, Canada, our developmental computers in Vancouver, Canada, and on back-up storage that are saved in Amazon’s cloud web services. Some of our service providers are located outside of Canada, including in the United States.   • the teachers of the courses you have registered for, who will have access to your full name on Our Site;
  • Partners from whom you bought your courses, who will have access to your full name and email on Our Site in order to verify your purchase;
  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

Please review the privacy policy, linked to at the bottom of each page, to understand the information we collect and how we manage and store it to protect your privacy. The privacy policy may be updated from time to time. You agree that any video or audio viewing issues derived from watching a webinar or course that do not originate specifically on the Net of Knowledge platform are not the responsibility of Net of Knowledge. While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket.
