Course Overview
Please Note: This course is presented in English and is verbally translated into German, back and forth, during the presentation. The workshop focuses on the process of co-building a working alliance. We discuss some main features of the therapeutic relationship: the structure of communication and the emotional, mental, physical space of the treatment. We see how to deal with: the daily management of time, requests, money the dynamics of empathy and neutrality the deep movements stirred up by the use needles the expression of hidden or violent emotions the yin attitude of "being there" We work with illnesses and suffering, it is a delicate matter. The encounter of patient and practitioner requires a specific attention. To improve therapeutic results we need not to be submerged by what takes place inside the relationship. The classics give a great attention to it – quotations will be discussed in the workshop. Clinical cases are given throughout all the issues.
Objective
  • Learn how to address the clinical relationship in daily practice. Deal with questions about ethics, communication, clinical interview. Understand how to handle interpersonal issues that arise in the clinic.
  • Cope with the therapeutic setting, empathy, expression of emotions, silence and words. Not be invaded or drifted away by what may happen during the treatment. Use a yin attitude of “being there”
  • Refer to the Classics and Recognize deep relational movements in given clinical cases
  • Why we have chosen this profession, what deep needs it responds to, how we deal with it all

    *CEU/CPD Approvals

Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
