Biography

Dr. Liu has been working at the epicenter of COVID in Wuhan. He is the author of the highly regarded book, Chinese Classical Chinese Medicine, which was recently translated into English with a forward by colleague Heiner Fruehauf.

From NY Times Review by Ian Johnson: "Liu is the author of Sikao Zhongyi (literally 'Contemplating Chinese Medicine,' now translated as 'Classical Chinese Medicine'), a book that has sold more than 500,000 copies since it was first published in 2001 and has made him one of China’s most famous practitioners of traditional medicine. Now sixty-three years old, he has emerged as an inspiration to thousands of Chinese who are eager to rediscover their roots and see in these healing arts one of the few living branches of traditional Chinese culture. Liu’s mission is to revive what he sees as authentic Chinese medicine, in contrast to the much-simplified version that has been taught in Chinese universities since the 1950s. But as the government has moved to restore traditions over the past decade, such as recognizing older ways of educating practitioners, Liu has become part of the mainstream. His visit to Wuhan was a dramatic effort to show that Chinese medicine isn’t a relic of the past but can solve urgent medical problems today."

Dr. Liu is Professor Emeritus, Institute for the Clinical Research of Classical Chinese Medicine, Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology.

  • the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) will receive your first name, last name, email address, and license number(s) if you request a certificate of completion from them; this is because they email the certificates themselves;
  • Kurativz Pvt. Ltd. may have access to your name and email in order to assist you with your support queries;
  • Hosts for events you have registered for may have access to your full name for attendance purposes, and your email if you request an NCCAOM certificate (they are required to submit this to NCCAOM to create your certificate);
  • Any individual to whom we are legally required to share certain data held by us, which may include your personal information, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with the requirements of legislation, a court order, or a governmental authority. We do not require any further consent from you in order to share your data in such circumstances and will comply as required with any legally binding request that is made of us.

What Happens If Our Business Changes Hands?

We may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale or the transfer of control of all or part of our business. Personal information provided by users will, where it is relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use your personal information for the purposes for which it was originally collected by us.

Continuing Education Credits

It is your responsibility to review the continuing education requirements of your professional association and to complete all of the course requirements in order to obtain your certificate of completion from Net of Knowledge. Net of Knowledge is not responsible for any licensing issues that may result from your failure to complete requirements or submit certificates for licensing renewal.

Privacy

While the technical support team at Net of Knowledge will make every effort to troubleshoot such issues, if they are due to the user’s computer, device, or internet connection, Net of Knowledge will not be held responsible for such issues.

If a technical issue is encountered that cannot be resolved by reviewing the Help Section, you agree to report the issue to Net of Knowledge’s Technical Support Team, either by an email or online ticket.
